Alongside the reopening of the Science Museum’s Launchpad gallery, this project delivered science shows at schools across the UK.
The project coincided with the relaunch of the museum’s popular hands-on Launchpad gallery following a major face-lift.
We visited selected schools across the UK to deliver shows and workshops to students in Year 7 and S1 in Scotland.
Each school involved with the project experienced a two-day teacher training course, watched one of our shows, took part in a science communication skills workshop and completed the Launchbox Challenge (a hands-on workshop using our specially made kit to design and create a chain reaction contraption).
We reached over 8,500 students and 66 teachers throughout the project.
