The Science Museum Group cares for over seven million items and so we can only answer questions about objects in our collection.

If you are trying to identify an object that you own, try looking through our online collection or do a Google image search.

If you are trying to restore an object, accredited conservators can be found through the Institute of Conservation or speak to your local Repair Café if you’re trying to repair it.

Alternatively, antiques dealers or larger auction houses can help authenticate or value your objects.
